Mexico, due to its geographical location, is prone to frequent seismic activity.

Every day, the country experiences tremors of various intensities, some of which trigger seismic alert systems to protect the population.

The National Seismological Service (SSN) plays a crucial role in monitoring and disseminating information about these events, according to the Excelsior portal.

Through its social media platforms and official website, the SSN keeps the population informed about the seismic activities that occurred on July 1, 2024, and offers recommendations for public safety.

Seismic activity in Mexico is a constant natural phenomenon, driven by the interaction of tectonic plates in the region.

This generates a dynamic that, while frequent, requires constant vigilance and preparation by society to minimize risks and respond effectively to emergencies.

What to Do After an Earthquake Like the One in Oaxaca

The first thing you should do after an earthquake has passed is to check your health; conduct a thorough check of your physical state to rule out any injuries such as bruises, scrapes, or wounds.

While doing this, perform breathing exercises to try to remain calm, as you might experience a nervous breakdown depending on the earthquake’s intensity.

Once you have checked your physical state, it’s time to help those around you.

If you find someone injured, immediately call emergency services and follow the instructions provided by experts to know what steps to take.
